The terms "us" and "we" refer to the owner of the Vasataxi App, Vasa Skeppet AB, a private limited company founded in Sweden, Stockholm.

1. Personal data that we process

  • Name, telephone number, e-mail address.
  • Passenger geo-location, time and destination of travel.
  • Payment information.
  • Information on disputes.
  • Identification details of the device on which the Vasataxi App was installed.

2. Purpose of treatment

  • We collect and process personal data with the intention of connecting passengers with drivers to help them move around cities more efficiently.
  • We display the passenger's geo location information and in some cases the driver's phone number to enable efficient pick-up. Geo location data is only collected when the Vasataxi App is activated. The collection of geo location data will cease when the Vasataxi App is closed. The driver cannot see the passenger's phone number; the driver sees a completely different number or Hidden number.   • We may use geo location data to solve quality problems related to transport services.

  • Customer support data is collected on a case-by-case basis and stored to resolve disputes and problems regarding the quality of service.

3. Legal basis

  • Personal data is processed in order to be able to deliver the service agreed with passengers. We collect and process the personal information provided by the passengers during the installation and use of the Vasataxi App. A prerequisite for being able to use Vasataxi services is that passengers Approve the processing of identification and geo location data.
  • Personal data may also be processed on the basis of a balance of interests, for example to investigate and detect fraudulent payments.

4. Receiver

  • Passenger personal information is only displayed to drivers who have activated the Vasataxi App in which case the driver will see the passenger's name, and a temporary telephone number and geo location information.
  • After the transport service is performed, the passenger's name and telephone number will remain visible to the driver for 24 hours. This is necessary for the driver to be able to solve any problems associated with the service performance, for example contact the passenger if anything was left in the vehicle.
  • Feedback provided by the passenger regarding the quality of the service is anonymous and the driver does not receive names or telephone numbers of passengers who have provided ratings and feedback.

5. Security and access

  • All personal data collected in connection with the provision of the services is transferred to and stored in the data centers of Inleed and / or Amazon Web Services, located within one of the EU Member States. Only authorized personnel from the companies that are part of the Vasataxi Group and have access to the personal data, and these only have access to the data for the purpose of solving problems linked to the use of the service (including disputes regarding the transport service).
  • Geo location data is processed anonymously and only identifies the person in question if the geo location information is necessary to be linked to a passenger to resolve disputes or fraud.
  • For research and scientific purposes, the data is used in unidentified form (anonymised).

6. Access and correction

  • You can access and update your personal information through the Vasataxi App.

7. Grate your personal information

  • Your personal data will be stored as long as you have an active passenger account. If your account is suspended, your personal information will be deleted from the databases (in accordance with the guidelines in this section), unless such information must be retained for accounting, dispute resolution or fraud prevention purposes.
  • Financial data relating to transport services provided to passengers will be stored for 3 years after the last trip.
  • Information required for accounting purposes will be stored for 7 years after the last trip.
  • In cases where there is suspicion of crime, fraud or the provision of false information, the data will be stored for 10 years.
  • In the case of payment disputes, data will be retained until the claim has been paid, or until the date on which the claim is due.
  • Travel history will be stored for 3 years, after which the information will be anonymized.
  • Please note that uninstalling the Vasataxi App from your device does not delete personal information.
  • If the Vasataxi App has not been used for 3 years, we will notify you and ask you to confirm whether your account is still active. If no response is received from you, your account will be suspended and your personal data will be deleted unless such information has to be stored for accounting, dispute resolution or fraud prevention purposes.

8. Deletion

  • You should also keep in mind that the request to delete your personal information is only possible if we delete your account. As a result, you will not be able to use the Vasataxi App through a deleted account.
  • We respond to all requests for deletion of personal data received via e-mail address within one month and then specify how long the deletion of the data will take.

9. Data portability

  • We respond to all requests for the transfer of personal data received via e-mail address within one month and then specify when the transfer will take place. 10. Direct marketing

11. Dispute resolution
